Certification

Constantly striving for a high level of excellence means that we are always developing our performance in order to be the best.

AEO

“We are pleased and proud to inform you that we have just acquired “Customs Simplifications” and “Security and Safety” AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) status PRIVATE

HBI is therefore the first forwarding agent in Marseilles and one of the first in Le Havre to receive official recognition from the European Union for their professionalism and capacity to deal with the goods entrusted to them rapidly and with all the requisite guarantees in terms of safety and security.

This is an additional level, which our company has just achieved, in our quest to provide you with an excellent service.

"Customs simplifications”: what are the advantages?

  • The systematic reduction of physical and documentary customs controls
  • Prioritised treatment during any checks which may take place
  • The opportunity to carry out these checks in a specific location chosen by HBI

"Security and Safety”: what are the advantages?

  • Reduced customs requirements in terms of the data required for entrance and outward declarations
  • Information on the customs decision regarding any control, even before wharfage (on export) or before the ship’s arrival (on import)
  • The opportunity to complete any formalities relating to declarations or to undergo any customs checks at the importation office (this status is not, at present, subject to mutual recognition from the United States)

ISO 9001:2000 certification

This development could not have been achieved without an innovative approach which we have adopted, relying on:

  • A high performance process for tracing merchandise,
  • A high-tech IT interface,
  • Maximum commitment to security,
  • Ongoing internal training.

HBI relies on 10 clear, concrete processes divided into four groups:

  • operational processes which directly contribute to product realisation / the service sold to the client;
  • the support or resource management processes required for the company’s smooth operation, such as human, material, financial or IT resources;
  • continuous guidance and improvement processes for the assessment of product quality and company performance, in order to meet all clients’ expectations
  • the process of directing the company’s management system.
  • in concrete terms, checks are carried out with the chosen suppliers according to a quality control chart and their performance is analysed every month.

All anomalies, customer complaints or angles for improvement detected by our partners are noted on quality control sheets and then discussed at a weekly meeting. This traceability means that the management can react as quickly as possible by implementing corrective action.

Because this approach of constantly seeking to progress has been shared by all staff right from the start, it is now part of everyone at HBI’s vision.

This is how our outlook on quality is defined.
